Founded by Bruce Wakefield in 1986 in Ronkonkoma, New York, Outer-County Construction Corporation began as a full-service general contracting firm built on a commitment to quality craftsmanship, superior customer service, and competitive pricing.

In 2005, Bruce proudly passed the company to the next generation—his daughter Christine Wakefield Plante and her husband, Gregory Plante—ensuring that Outer-County’s tradition of excellence would continue for years to come.

Since taking the helm, Greg and Christine have remained dedicated to upholding the strong foundation that Bruce established. Their leadership has fueled the company’s growth, allowing Outer-County Construction to expand its client base, increase its workforce, build a fleet of service vehicles, and assemble a specialized team capable of tackling projects of any size or complexity.

From new construction to major renovations, every project we take on involves a wide array of specialized components.
