The history of The Samuels Group may seem unconventional compared to other construction companies. That’s because it is.

Founder, Sid Samuels, previously served in a leadership role at a major construction firm alongside Kurt Berner. With a vision for the potential growth in the area, and recognizing the untapped potential of the dedicated team he worked with, Sid invested in his dream and purchased the company’s Wisconsin division. To ensure the leadership of the company remained strong, Sid asked Kurt to join him in the journey as Vice President of Operations. Other talented team members also captured the vision for what a new kind of design, construction, and commercial furnishings firm could be like and remained an integral part of the team, helping to ensure the company's success.

At that, The Samuels Group was born, and so was a fresh approach to the commercial construction industry. Since then — and hundreds of building projects later — the team has more than doubled and includes a diverse set of skills, personalities, and experience.

Today, The Samuels Group stands out as an innovator among Midwest commercial construction contractors, design-build, and furniture solution firms with offices in Wausau, Wisconsin and West Des Moines, Iowa.
